What You’ll Experience

Children will explore a variety of open-ended art materials — such as paint, collage, drawing tools, and tactile mediums — through a process-based, play-led approach. Sessions emphasize curiosity, sensory exploration, and creative freedom rather than instructions or final products.

This first pod is being co-created with our founding family, shaped by the children who gather together week after week. Through shared experiences, familiar rhythms, and a consistent group, children build trust with the space, the materials, and one another.

By the end of the eight weeks, children leave not with a finished portfolio, but with something more lasting — a sense of belonging and confidence that comes from being seen, supported, and included as part of a small creative community.

Our Weekly Rhythm

Bella Art Pod operates in small, consistent cohort pods that meet once a week over an eight-week season. Session take place on Tuesdays from 11:30AM—1:00PM, following a predictable rhythm — arrival, settling in, creative exploration, and closing — so children know what to expect and can relax into the experience. Activities are thoughtfully prepared and gently facilitated, allowing children to engage at their own pace. Some may jump right in, other may observe before participating; both are welcomed and supported.

What’s Included

All art materials are provided. Children have access to a wide range of high-quality, child-safe supplies designed to support open-ended exploration and sensory engagement. Sessions are intentionally prepared and guided in a calm, nurturing environment that prioritizes emotional safety, creative freedom, and connection —without any added costs or expectations.

Session Lengths

Each seasonal pod meets once a week for eight consecutive weeks. This extended timeframe allows children to build familiarity with the space, materials, and group, supporting deeper trust and creative confidence over time. Rather than drop-in classes, the pod models continuity and a strong sense of belonging.

Pod Age Group

Bella Art Pod seasonal cohorts are designed for children ages 2-6 years old. Children may attend with a caregiver or as a supported drop-off, depending on readiness.

For younger children or those who benefit from added co-regulation, caregiver participation is encouraged. For children who are comfortable separating and engaging independently, drop-off is welcome.

All pods remain small to ensure emotional safety, gentle guidance, and individualized support.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Bella Art Pod is not psychotherapy. It is a process-based art experience informed by therapeutic arts principles, designed to support expression, regulation, and creative exploration in early childhood.

  • That’s okay. Observation is participation. Children are never forced to create and are supported in engaging when they feel ready.

  • This depends on the age of the child and the specific pod. Details will be shared prior to the start of the session to ensure each child feels supported.

  • Comfortable clothes that can get messy. Child-sized aprons are provided, but creativity can still be unpredictable.

  • Yes. Light organic snacks are provided for children, along with warm herbal tea and coffee for caregivers. Please share any allergies during registration.

  • The pod models supports familiarity, trust, and a sense of belonging. Returning to the same space and group each week allows children to settle in and engage more deeply over time.

  • Because this is a small, intentionally held cohort, sessions are non-refundable. If you miss a class, we offer one complimentary open studio so you and your child can still enjoy time in the space.Item description
